Basil Tea Recipe | A Healthy Herbal Drink


As temperature drops down, so as my mood and immunity. I love sunshine over snow because the chances of getting myself sick in winter is very high as compared to summer. Headache, cold, cough and sore throat  becomes my best buddy in winter. Most of the time, I feel cold and frizzy  and to warm it up : I have to drink hot beverage in an hour interval. For it , I would like to opt for hot water, green tea and basil tea. In this post, I'm sharing my Basil Tea Recipe which helps to keep me warm at the same time fights cold, calm my mood  and good for acne prone skin. I'm adding  few carom seeds  as well to this herbal tea which helps to solve the problem of indigestion and acidity.

  • 2-3 leaves of Basil Leaves (I grow my own basil plants)
  • 1 teaspoon of carom seeds 
  • A cup of water
  • Few drops of Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of Honey

  • Add basil leaves and carom seeds in a boiling water
  • Boil it for 3-4 minutes
  • Strain the basil leaves and serve with lemon juice and honey
